it’s more than a building

We are excited to announce that after 7+ years of being a portable church, we have officially purchased a building! The address is 9635 M St, Omaha, NE 68127, right next to our current HQ.
The building is 36,000 square feet. We will be occupying 22,000 square feet. The remaining is currently occupied by two companies that will be leasing space from us.
What’s the next step? Begin the build out! We are looking to move into the building sometime in 2025. Our goal is to raise $1,150,000 by June of 2025 so that we can move into our new space as fast as possible.

THE ACADEMY

With the purchase of this building we are also going to be launching the My City Academy. This will be an exceptional educational institution that combines academic excellence with a strong foundation in Christian values. Beginning with K-4 with more grades to develop.

Our mission is to provide a nurturing and academically rigorous environment where students can grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. We aspire to cultivate a love for learning while instilling Christian values such as integrity, compassion, and service.

    We live with OPEN HANDS and we say YES AND AMEN. This means that we trust God to provide and take big steps of faith. We are wanting to raise One Million dollars by June 2025. You can play an integral part by donating financially and making a faith commitment over the next 5 years.

  • Since 2021 the Executive team of My City Church has worked diligently in extinguishing previous debt and saving for this very moment. After 6 building and land surveys, 3 purchase offer denials, bank refusals and consistent prayer, we have found a diamond in the rough. For 3 years we have been knocking and asking. Unafraid of hard work, the team and generous Vision Builders have found this opportunity for us to own a place where God can meet His people, generations can be impacted, and the Bride of Christ can plant her roots.

  • Yes, all donations to My City Church in the Vision Builders Fund, your donation  is 100% tax deductible according to our 501 (c3) status.

  • With the help of generous Vision Builders, hard working volunteers and staff, and the expertise of businesses and companies, we hope to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony in the summer of 2025.

  • We build to have a place for God’s people to meet Him whenever. When a church is portable, it is beholden to the stipulations of the building's owner. Our community has seen its fair share of restrictions, schedule changes, and black out dates that have consistently stalled and even diminished the work God is and will do. But not anymore, with the purchase and building of this Church, God’s presence and transformation will expand and continue to take ground for His glory.

  • After seven years of setting up and tearing down we are not giving God our worn and torn left overs. Much like the tabernacle and the temple, we seek to build God a worthy dwelling place for his Spirit to rest, His people to be transformed, and His church to grow.
